Facts!
- Del disco Dance Naked de 1994, John Mellencamp (también conocido como Johnny Cougar, John Cougar y John Cougar Mellencamp) tuvo un gran éxito con "Wild Night", un cover de 1971 original del irlandés Van Morrison.
- Esta canción llegó al tercer puesto en el Billboard Top 100 y estuvo la Adult Contemporary List por 8 semanas.
- El disco de donde sale esta canción fue lanzado en respuesta a las acusaciones de su disquera de que su disco anterior, Human Wheels, 'no se ajustaba al formato'. Mellencamp irritado por la afirmación, sintió que ninguno de sus discos se ajustaban al formato. Como resultado de esto, escribió y grabó algunas canciones 'amistosas' para la radio en menos de 14 días para demostrar la falta de esfuerzo que se necesita para producir el tipo de disco que su disquera le pedía.
- La canción nos muestra a Me'shell Ndegeocello (cantautora, rapera y bajista) haciendo dueto con Mellencamp y acompañándolo en el bajo.
