¿Cuántas veces hemos sentido que este mundo gira sobre sí mismo a un ritmo diferente al que giramos nosotros?
¿Has tenido días en que quisieras que todo se detenga, y así poder tomar un respiro para seguir adelante?
¿Alguna vez me he propuesto cambiar el mundo que me rodeada, para bien o para mal?
Es muy probable que no conozca las respuestas, pero si estoy seguro que mi vida ha cambiado gracias a muchas personas que han caminado conmigo esta senda que recorro cada día; que me han mostrado la luz en los momentos más oscuros, que me han dado la mano cuando estaba a punto de caer. No sé con certeza cuántas vidas han sido transformadas, de un modo u otro, por los pasos que he dado en este mundo, por mis palabras, por mis obras.
No aspiro a saberlo, en realidad, no me desvivo por saberlo. Solo espero que haya podido a cambiar el mundo tan solo un poquito para hacerlo un lugar mucho mejor para vivir.

- Del disco Dance Naked de 1994, John Mellencamp (también conocido como Johnny Cougar, John Cougar y John Cougar Mellencamp) tuvo un gran éxito con "Wild Night", un cover de 1971 original del irlandés Van Morrison.

AC/DC - Highway To Hell

Hay días en que uno siente que nada va a terminar bien, y que nuestros actos nos llevan a un solo destino...

- El título es a menudo atribuido a la frase que el guitarrista de AC/DC, Angus Young, usaba para describir ir de gira por Estados Unidos. Sin embargo, hay una explicación más que literal. Highway to Hell era el apodo para la carretera Canning en Australia. Esta inicia desde donde el vocalista Bon Scott vivía en Fremantle y termina en un pub/bar llamado The Raffles, el cual era un gran lugar para beber y escuchar Rock 'n Roll en los '70s. Conforme la carretera Canning se acerca al pub, esta se hunde en una bajada bastante empinada: "No stop signs... speed limits... nobody gonna slow me down." Mucha gente murió por exceso de velocidad en esa intersección en la cima de esa colina mientras se dirigían a disfrutar de una buena noche en el pub, por eso fue que se le llamó 'la carretera al infierno', así que cuando Bon decía "I'm on the highway to hell" se refería a su peregrinación diaria o semanal por la carretera Canning hacia el bar The Raffles para rockear y beber con sus compas: "Ain't nothing I would rather do. Going down, party time, my friends are gonna be there too."
- Este fue la primera canción de AC/DC que entró en las listas de popularidad en los Estados Unidos. - Sacada del disco Mad Season (2000), Bent fue uno de los éxitos que más se escucharon de este album. Llegó a ocupar la primera posición del Hot 100 de los EEUU.
- En Inglaterra, esta canción tiene un significado alternativo para sus oyentes porque el término "Bent" ("doblado") puede significar también "Gay." También puede interpretarse como corrupto o ilegal.
- Rob Thomas afirmó en el programa de VH1, Storytellers que esta fue su primera "canción de amor" escrita conscientemente. también dijo que trata sobre una relación co-dependiente entre dos personas "jodidas" :D. Básicamente la canción diceh que si ellos permanecen juntos seguirán estando jodidas, pero que eso está bien porque están juntos. :S
- Este video se filmó poco tiempo después del éxito que tuvo Rob Thomas junto a Santana (Smooth, Supernatural) y en el video podemos ver a los integrantes del grupo atacando sin piedad a Rob Thomas. El video fue una especie de broma, de seguirle el juego a la prensa que en aquellos tiempos afirmaban que el resto de la banda tuvo altercados con Rob por el éxito que estaba teniendo este último con su carrera en solitario.

Me encanta esta canción!!! Puedo oírla todos los días y no me canso de ella.
Si soy sincero nunca me llamó la atención KISS (en parte porque no conocía a fondo su música, y que le agarre idea después de que empezaron a usar "I Was Made For Lovin' You" en A Todo Dar X_X) pero después de oír esta pieza, cambié de opinión. :D

- La versión original de esta canción salió con el disco Dinasty allá por el 79. La versión que aparece en el video de este post corresponde al MTV Unplugged de KISS grabado en el 96.
- La misma trata sobre un joven que se siente apullado por la mujer con la que perdió su virginidad. Muchos creen que esa mujer era su profesora del colegio :O por el verso que dice: "You showed me things they never taught me in school". Jejeje, donde he oído eso antes....claro, el Chamuko !!!
- La mayoría de personas conocen el look glam-rock distintivo de KISS, pero son pocos los que conocen a la gente debajo del maquillaje. Este video los muestra en el periodo donde ellos decidieron quitarse las máscaras y "dar la cara" :)
- Y viendolo desde un punto totalmente pachucho...el título de la canción se podría traducir algo así como "Conoche, conoche!!!" :D

Me encanta esta canción!!! Puedo oírla todos los días y no me canso de ella.
Si soy sincero nunca me llamó la atención KISS (en parte porque no conocía a fondo su música, y que le agarre idea después de que empezaron a usar "I Was Made For Lovin' You" en A Todo Dar X_X) pero después de oír esta pieza, cambié de opinión. :D
Facts!
- La versión original de esta canción salió con el disco Dinasty allá por el 79. La versión que aparece en el video de este post corresponde al MTV Unplugged de KISS grabado en el 96.
- La misma trata sobre un joven que se siente apullado por la mujer con la que perdió su virginidad. Muchos creen que esa mujer era su profesora del colegio :O por el verso que dice: "You showed me things they never taught me in school". Jejeje, donde he oído eso antes....claro, el Chamuko !!!
- La mayoría de personas conocen el look glam-rock distintivo de KISS, pero son pocos los que conocen a la gente debajo del maquillaje. Este video los muestra en el periodo donde ellos decidieron quitarse las máscaras y "dar la cara" :)
- Y viendolo desde un punto totalmente pachucho...el título de la canción se podría traducir algo así como "Conoche, conoche!!!" :D

Solo que en esta ocasión, es la versión cover del clasicazo de Deep Purple, interpretada magistralmente por los virtuosos Joe Satrini, Steve Vai y John Petrucci. Si nunca habías visto o oído algo de alguno de estos tres, con esta canción se podrán dar cuenta de lo que ellos pueden hacer.

Nadie que se precie ser rockero puede decir que no ha oído esta canción, aunque más que una canción es casi un himno.
Más que un relato de un incendio ocurrido en Montreux, Suiza, esta canción llegó a ser uno de los más grandes éxitos de Deep Purple (y casi sin querer, ya que los integrantes de la banda no le tenían mucha fe a la canción) y se convirtió en uno de los riffs más famosos (si no el más famoso) entre todos aquellos novatos que empiezan a aprender guitarra eléctrica.
En esos momentos de inspiración rockera, puedo ver el humo en el agua y el fuego en el cielo! Más Rock que eso...imposible!

Últimamente está lloviendo mucho por Tikicia, demasiado dirán algunos. Pero una vez que se vaya el invierno empezaremos a echar de menos lo que nos caí del cielo.
