White Town - Your Woman

Mi Comentario:
Siempre tuve curiosidad con respecto a esta canción desde el primer momento en que la oí: ¿por qué este mae le dice a una chavala que nunca podrá ser su mujer???? Años después le llegué a esa respuesta (ver Facts!)

Facts!
- White Town es Jyoti Mishra, quien canta y graba música dance utilizando sintetizadores y samples. Esta es, por mucho su canción más conocida, la cual en 1997 fue un éxito en todo el mundo alcanzando el #1 en la UK Singles Chart y en enero de ese año el #23 en el U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
- Según Mishra: "Las letras son bastante asquerosas y, desde cierta perspectiva, misóginas. Pensé que podría ser un giro interesante muestrear esa parte y escribir una canción a su alrededor que tuviera diferentes perspectivas. La música fue hecha muy rápido, las letras tomaron años!!!"
- Se dice que la letra de la canción habla de una amiga lesbiana de Mishra de la cual este se había enamorado pero que nunca le correspondió. Al menos eso se intuye del coro de la canción: "I could never be your woman".
